Population of about 700 inhabitants called Sorvilaneros
Sorvilán is an old town, located about 10 km from the coastal road N340 from Los Yesos and up into the mountains on good roads to the area of Alpujarra Baja with the mountain Contraviesa in the background, at an altitude of about 780 meters above sea level. Sorvilán dates back to the Arab era when they built irrigation systems for their vineyards. Known for its wines and almonds

Los Yesos
Los Yesos is located between the sea and the road. A narrow community with a rocky coast. Best known for its trucking. Basically a quiet residential area.

Melicena
Melicena is located by the sea and on the local road you can only drive half the distance. The rest of the road, the eastern part is intended for the residents. Nice sandy beach where you can drive out to the water. Between Melicena and La Rabita lies the Cape Punta Negra.
