Population of about 1,100 inhabitants called Otiveños
Otivar is located about 300 meters above sea level and 12 km north of Almuñécar in the tropical valley Valle Tropical, and the village as well as hanging on the edge of a mountainside, with Mount Guindalera in the background at 1,072 meters altitude. Here are collective fruit collection sites for further promotion with the white trailers you often see.
Many of these mountain villages are perfect for paragliding, as there are nice upwinds.
