Population of about 1,600 inhabitants called Poloperos
Polopos is located about 10 km from the coastal road N340 at Castillo de Baño. After only a few km you have high mountain peaks, such as Tres Cerros at 639 meters above sea level. The city is known for its vineyards and its wine: Vino de Polopos, which you just have to taste. There are many almond trees here, so it is nice to go here when the trees are in bloom. Figs give great harvests. Here is the bus company Los Tres Socios. Symbolic of polopos are the white houses with red roofs.
On August 5, the Fiesta will be honored at Nuestra Señora del Rosario

La Mamola
La Mamola is a long and narrow village, located between the sea and the road and here is the restaurant El PARAISO and a long beach promenade. What distinguishes the beach are the 8 pier arms that protrude into the water. But above all, you see Torre del Cautor in the distance. The guard tower lies on the rock where the road tunnel runs through.

Castillo de Baños
Castillo de Baños has a defense tower which is from the 18th century and is located right next to the A7 road and which is the first thing you see, but to get into the village you have to drive on the local road, which goes through the village and then comes out on large the road which then continues a good distance right near the sea. There is a small short promenade with bars and restaurants, but no sandy beach. Just stone. Here is a large popular campsite with swimming pool, located right down by the sea. Otherwise, it is only greenhouses.
